SHUANG “IRIS” ZHANG is pursuing her career as a professional pianist, clinician, and music business entrepreneur. She is coordinator of IKOF's China Project, and the founder and manager of Enterprise for Performing And Inspirational Career (E.P.I.C.) in China, an organization devoted to creating and bridging domestic musical talents and global resources. She was a former adjunct faculty at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a keyboardist of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, and has given masterclasses at the SPA Regional Regional Piano Festival and private lessons at the IKOF. As a professional pianist, she has won the MTNA Young Artist Solo Piano Competition of the West Central Division, the International Keyboard Odyssiad® & Festival Concerto Division, the Angie Southard Solo Competition, and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. She has been awarded the Bob Ross International Ambassador and Activities Award and was invited for membership in the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. Iris has performed with the Alicante Philharmonic Orchestra in Italy, Boulder Symphony, and UNC Symphony Orchestra, and has performed in various locations, such as Jordan Hall in Boston, Sala dei Notari, Teatro Pavone, Boettcher Concert Hall, and Monfort Concert Hall. In addition, Iris has premiered and recorded many new works, including classical chamber music, a contemporary dance work, and South American jazz works.
