Jung-Eun Kang

 
 

JUNG-EUN KANG, a native of Seoul, Korea, graduated from The Korean National University of Arts, where she studied with Choong-Mo Kang.  She received her Master of Music, Graduate Performance Diploma, and Doctor of Musical Arts from The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, studying with Ellen Mack.

Ms. Kang has won many competitions including the grand prize in the Samic Competition in Korea, the Washington D.C. Catholic University Competition, the Elizabeth R. Memorial Competition, and the Russell C. Wonderic Memorial Competition.  She is also a recipient of the Pauline Favin Memorial Award at Peabody. 

As an outstanding soloist, Ms. Kang has frequently performed in major concert halls in Korea. She also appeared as a soloist with several major orchestras including Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul String Ensemble and Citiphilharmonic Orchestra, Kt Orchestra. Multiple performances have been broadcast on KBS.

Ms. Kang was a faculty member at the Preparatory Division of the Peabody Institute and is currently a professor at Jeju National University.
